Welcome, we love meeting new people!

We seek to extend hospitality to our neighbours and friends and ALL ARE WELCOME here, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation; regardless of social, economic, educational, or linguistic status;  regardless of citizenship, religious, or cultural background; regardless of relationship status or family make-up;  and regardless of physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual condition.  First Lutheran is a community of diverse cultures and traditions that seeks to extend love and grace to one another.
What can I expect?

At First Lutheran we celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday at 10:30 am. Our service includes lively music, Bible readings, children's message and Sunday school, sermon, prayers, and many welcoming handshakes!

The service is always followed by coffee, light snacks and interesting conversation on the lower level.

What about my children?

Children are an important part of our community and our worship. We encourage parents to feel at home as they help their children experience worship. We understand there may be wiggles and active bodies. There is often a children's time during the service. All children and parents are welcome to receive Holy Communion.  There is a place in the narthex at the back of the church where children may go if they need some quiet time to colour or read.

What about Communion?

Worship is the heart of our ministry and mission. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Sunday morning at 10:30 am.

The bread is received in the open palm (gluten free option available upon request),

All are offered wine or non alcoholic grape juice from the first (common) cup, or can choose an individual portion.

Anyone who desires prayer and/or anointing for the healing of any illness or brokenness in mind, body or spirit

are invited to receive these blessings after communing.
